We Have A 6 Month Old!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We spent the afternoon at the park with our little Valentine (and Tank too) playing and taking a walk and enjoying a beautiful day and each other's company.  Then we came home and discovered lots of Valentine's loot!  Scarlett got me a coupon book and Spencer a card and a jar of hidden hearts.  Spencer got me and Scarlett matching heart necklaces and he also got me chocolate covered strawberries and roses.  Scarlett got a bathing suit, sunglasses, a sippy cup, new pacifiers and a book too!

For dinner we enjoyed some fondue made by Spencer and for dessert we had red velvet milk chocolate rice krispie treats that Scarlett and I made.

After dinner, Spencer and Scarlett surprised me with this amazing bath with a glass of wine while Spencer put Scarlett to bed.  It was so relaxing!

We finished off the night by watching a movie (Letters To Juliet) and drinking wine.  It was a really nice Valentine's Day and we feel very lucky to have each other and our new addition this year!

An Email From Scarlett...

Hi Mom,


I was hoping you could get me ready to go to the park. Papa is on his way home, and when he gets here we are going to go for a family walk. (tank is coming too, I like watching him) I know it means I'm going to eat a little late but that's ok, Papa and I talked about it and it's ok we'll manage. When we get home from the park it'll be time for me to eat, and then I was hoping you and Papa could lay on the floor with me, and play scrabble, or maybe cards and just kinda hang out. It's nice when we all play together, it makes me smile. 


Papa has to make dinner and I'm going to try and help him, but I might get crabby and need you to hold me, if that's the case I hope you understand. After dinner it'll be just about bedtime for me, and I'm pretty excited about that, I haven't had great naps today. Papa is going to get me a bath and then we're going to do something special for you, It might not be your cup of tea, but we wanted to try it and maybe you'll like it. If not I understand, sometimes I don't like new things either.


Once I'm asleep, (and I hope I stay that way, I hate waking up and losing my binky....) You and pop are going to get some drinks and cuddle up (i recommend lighting a few candles and turning down the lights) and watch a movie together, I hope you don't fall asleep too! There are a couple of choices for movie, but I'll let pop fill you in on that, he didn't share all his details with me. 




That's our Valentines day evening, I hope it's ok with you, we know it's not crazy and fancy, but hopefully you have fun. 


Papa and I love you very much, thanks for being there for us. (even when I'm cranky and he says mean things)

My Birthday!

Not only did I get these things, but I also got 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, a massage, facial, and pedicure and a delicious sushi dinner with my 2 lovely dates!  I couldn't have asked for a better birthday!  I love my little family and feel so loved!
