Four Down, Eight To Go!

I guess its best if I don't share my predictions for who is going home. When I do share, I'm wrong, and when I don't share, I'm right! :) I am so glad that Steve Wozniak and Holly Madison are done dancing. Holly was hard enough to watch and then there was Steve...who just got RIPPED INTO by all of the judges. It made me sad, though his positive attitude and endless smile through it all was somewhat inspiring. Next week is my favorite dance, the Pasa Doble (and the Viennese Waltz) and all my most hated dancers are gone! :) I can't wait!
Bye bye Karina and Steve!
Bye bye Dmitry and Holly!

Week 4!

Ahhh, another good week with the Lindy Hop and the Argentine Tango...two new and FUN dances. Let's keep it simple. Here's who got ZERO votes from me:
Holly Madison(she's used to a different kind of moving.)
Steve Wozniak (REALLY needs to be put out of his joy and my misery.)
Steve-O (I gave him lots of chances...he's just not doing it for me!)
These stars are still doing a great job and got one vote from me! Some of them deserved more than one, but I ran out of votes! :)
Lil' Kim (wanted to give her 2 votes!)
Ty Murray (REALLY like him!)
David Alan Grier
Lawrence Taylor
Chuck Wicks
And these stars are amazing. I'm wondering if they've danced before, but whatever, I love them! :) They got 2 votes each from me!
Gilles Marini (he got a 30!)
Melissa (super fun!)
Shawn (she's cute and her partner is cuter!)This week there is a double elimination so I'm picking my bottom three:
Holly
Steve-O
Steve
And I'm not even going to pick who I think is going home, because even though I want it to be Steve, I have a feeling all the geeks in his fanclub are voting for him repeatedly and he'll get to stay again! :(
Until tomorrow...

Spencer's Birthday

We celebrated today in a relaxing, chill way, just as Spencer requested (even though I wanted to go back to Disneyland!!!!). He worked today (even though I wanted him to take the day off!), and then when he got home, he opened his presents from me (8 James Bond Movies and a book! Woohoo!) Then we headed off to the movies to see "I Love You, Man" which was really funny. After the movie we went to a new restaurant at our favorite place, Town Square, called Brio. It was Italian food and it was really great (except for our strange waiter, but whatever). After dinner we headed back home to watch a James Bond movie and have Spencer's favorite dessert, homemade apple pie. The pie turned out great and I had this brilliant idea to put candles in it and sing before we ate it. But of course you want to eat an apple pie warm, so I had to work quickly. I immediately put the candles in and as I was lighting them, for some reason, they were tipping over onto the pie. I couldn't figure it out until I pulled one out to try to fix it...The pie was so hot, it was melting the candles from the bottom up...oops! So I took them out quickly and laid them on the pan, lit one on the pan for Spencer to blow out, sang quickly, and there you have it! At least the pie was good!
Happy happy birthday to you Spence!

Happy Birthday Baby!

Today is Spencer's 26th birthday and I hope its a wonderful one! Happy Birthday to the love of my life! :)

Two Down, Ten To Go!

I don't believe it! Either there are a lot of fat guys sympathizing and voting for Steve Wozniak, there are a lot of morbid people out there, or LOTS more people hate Denise Richards than I thought. I can't believe he wasn't even in the bottom two! Last season my predictions were almost always right and this year I'm 0 for 2! :( But I am more than happy to see that crazy Denise Richards go! She was not good and it was obvious that she and Maks didn't really get along too well. It proves that chemistry matters in dancing too. :) So see ya later "wild thing"! (Get it? She was in that horrible movie "Wild Things"? Ha ha...I'm still so funny...)
Bye bye Maks and Denise!

Week 3!

This week's episode of Dancing With The Stars was action-packed. Two hours of Sambas and Foxtrots led me to these conclusions for the week:
These dancers have showed little to no improvement, and/or still annoy me, and/or still stink, so they did NOT get any votes from me:
Denise Richards
Holly Madison
Steve Wozniak
These stars still need a little work, but I like them enough to keep them around for awhile to see what they will do and I voted for them each one time:
David Alan Grier
Lil' Kim
Steve-O
Melissa Rycroft
Lawrence Taylor
Chuck Wicks
And continuing to do an AWESOME job and getting all the extra votes I had left this week:
Gilles Marini (sexy booty shaking dancing machine!!!)
Shawn Johnson (cute little tough gymnast turned graceful dancer with the hottest dance partner ever!)
Ty Murray (adorable and elegant cowboy/rodeo king!)
I think the bottom two after all the votes this week will be Steve & Karina and Denise & Maks and if there is another dance-off or if there isn't, I'm pretty confidant that THIS week is Steve Wozniak's last week on the show. I hope it is anyway, because I can't bear to watch him dance anymore and I can't bear to see him get ripped into by the judges with that sweet, positive smile on his face the whole entire time!

A few other important things to note:
1.) I think Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough are cute, but have a bad feeling about their relationship after they are done on this show.
2.) Cheryl Burke, my most hated professional dancer fell down the stars for the second time tonight and I was happy about it...
3.) Bruno is significantly meaner and Len is significantly nicer this season, so far.
4.) I hate Carrie Ann.
5.) Why does Samantha ALWAYS have the BEST dresses?
6.) Mark Ballas...still HOT!

Until tomorrow evening...

Brothers & Sisters

We really do love each other, I swear! (This is a VERY rare occasion for all four of us to be in a picture together...willingly.) :)

Girl's Night Out!

This evening we went out for Tiffany and Jenny's birthdays which were 4 days apart last week. We started off at Cemeno's for some delicious pizza and beer and then continued on to Jameson's for some more beverages and a good covers band. I hope the birthday girls had fun. Despite my nasty cold, I managed to drug myself up and have just enough beers to make it through the night and have a good time. Unfortunately, I was off my game enough to NOT take any pictures (I know, I know, WHO ME?!), but I am confidant that Tiffany will email me hers eventually, so pictures are coming soon.... :)

And Mason got some sweet kisses from his big brother!

Cousins

Today I laid low because I am getting a cold. (Only in Illinois apparently...) But I did get a chance to meet up with my cousin Kristi for a short but very sweet coffee date before she got back on the train to go to Chicago after visiting her grandparents. It was so great to see her and catch up! Love you Kris! :)

The OG!

Tonight Tiffany, Jenny, Kari and I headed to The Olive Garden to celebrate our last birthdays together...we were all born within a few weeks of each other...January 19, February 4, March 12, and March 16. We don't usually get to ALL be together on our birthdays, so it was fun to go out. Although we didn't really even mention the fact that we were celebrating our birthdays..probably because we don't want to think about the next one since we will all be turning 30. :( Happy Birthday ladies! :)

Plainfield Sunset :)

The Village Green

I remember going to this park as a little kid, before they remodeled and updated it, when the big slide used to burn you legs because it was made of metal. I remember babysitting in high school and taking the kids to this park. And so it was really fun to take Parker too. Lauren, Parker, Mason, and I spent about 45 minutes at The Village Green before it started raining. Then we headed to McDonald's for some early dinner..a happy meal of course. :)
