25 Random Things...

I was tagged to do this on facebook and thought I would put it here as well. If you are reading it, you should do it too! Its fun to learn random things about each other! :)
1. I have no toenails on my pinkie toes. (and when I was training for a marathon the toenails on both of my second toes fell off too.) I paint them on with nail polish.

2. I am intensely afraid of spiders. So much so that when I see one in close proximity to me, I get nauseous. (Even if it is in a case at a zoo or museum or something.)

3. I have a guilty conscience, I am a terrible liar, and I have a hard time saying no to people.

4. I eat ranch dressing on just about everything...even Ramen!

5. I am obsessed with The Beatles! (I have all their albums, anthology books, cd's and movies, have seen "Love" 14 times, and have seen all their movies...and that's just the beginning...)

6. I love my family and friends, but I generally like animals better than I like people. (I love ALL animals...none of them gross me out...aside from insects and spiders!)

7. I am awesome at remembering birthdays and send all my extended family, etc. birthday cards every single year!

8. I love lists and am currently working on a list I made of 101 tasks to complete in 1001 days!

9. I am a sucker for a good cause and will usually help out with any I believe in! I am currently raising money to fight Multiple Sclerosis (which is a little closer to my heart because both my brother and my aunt have it). If you can help me raise money, please do! (

10. I have changed drastically over the past five years and finally love who I am. (So much so, that if you knew me in the past 5 years, you may not know me as well as you think!) I think I am more the kind of person I was in high school...only more mature! ;)

11. I am obsessed with music and especially the lyrics. And if you sing the wrong words to a song, I will tell you...I'm the lyric police.

12. I LOVE snow but HATE to be in it and hate to be cold. I have never gone skiing, snowboarding, ice skating outside, or sledding beyond my own front yard. My max time in the cold is about 10 minutes!

13. The best job I ever had was working at a boring, but insanely busy doctors' office. (And I have had some pretty amazing jobs...)

14. I cannot WAIT to be a mom, its one of the things I look forward to most in life. And I would be so ok, and not at all bored, if we could afford it, to be a stay-at-home-mom/housewife..!

15. I am adopted. And although I love my family and consider them the only one I will ever have, we are nothing alike and that is obvious on most days!!!!

16. I HATE talking on the phone (but I'm working on that!)

17. I am doing Weight Watchers with my mom and I love to diet (even though I know I don't necessarily need to lose any weight!)

18. I drink red wine almost every night.

19. I am claustrophobic. I even have a hard time SCUBA diving because of it!

20. I hate to fly in airplanes, even though I know it is probably safer than driving in Las Vegas (which I am also not a fan of!)

21. I have been hit by a car!

22. I love to read but I am a slow reader. And even if I start a book and don't really like it, I have to finish it...even if it sucks.

23. I am in the closet about the fact that I play ONE nerdy computer game with my wonderful fiance. (I only play because I love him. And I only play one game, but I am still embarassed about it and will never talk about it again!)

24. I love to plan weddings and will plan anyone's who asks me! I have had almost my entire wedding planned since the day after we got engaged! And though I stress out about A LOT of things I am not and will never be a "bridezilla"

25. I worry about A LOT of things...mostly things a person doesn't need to worry about. And I am finally starting to realize that I get this from my Mom.

"Bridal Shower" day and last night together!

Last night Michelle surprised me yet again, giving me a coupon for a Spa Day in place of a bridal shower. So this morning we woke up and headed back to The Cracked Egg for breakfast (again!) and then we were off to Saffron Spa. I have gotten massages and facial and other spa treatments before, but never all in one day and never this good! It was amazing! I was in a daze when I was driving home afterwards. It was the BEST! And Michelle, being the little spa-guru that she is, found me a place that I like in my own town so now I can go back (hopefully!). What a great gift though, Michelle REALLY spoiled me while she was here! Anyway, after our spa day, we went home and had something to eat (I learned that massages put your body in "rest and digest mode" so we were SUPER hungry!) and then we started to get ready for our last evening together. Spencer, Michelle, and I headed to The Mirage to see "Love" (my 13th viewing!) which Michelle LOVED! After that we headed outside to see the new volcano eruption...there was LOTS of FIRE!
Then we went to The Venetian and ate dinner at Noodles Asia (Michelle also LOVED her meal, however mine and Spencer's were just ok...and NO FORTUNE COOKIES! RIDICULOUS!)
Our last stop was the Bellagio see the fountains at night...my favorite free thing to do on the strip! :)I'm starting to get really bummed that Michelle has to leave tomorrow but this truly was one of the BEST SURPRISES EVER! :)

Touristing and "Bachelorette Party"

This morning we woke up hungry and headed to a new restaurant that I'd never been to for breakfast and a place to plan our time together. We LOVED our breakfast so much we tried to take some pictures!
After breakfast, we headed to the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign, and then we were off for some exploration of Red Rock Canyon since Michelle had never been there and Spencer and I love it there (mostly because it makes us forget we live in Las Vegas!)After a lovely dinner cooked for us by Spencer, Michelle and I got all hottied up and went out for my "bachelorette party". This translates to a fun time drinking really expensive but really yummy alcoholic beverages at Parasol Up at the Wynn and putting our names on guests lists to clubs, but not going.
After drinking, we headed to In-N-Out Burger because Michelle had never been there and you have to eat tasty greasy food after you drink. But we pissed the drive thru girl off because we missed the box and ordered at the window...they should make the stupid speaker box BIGGER! But it was a fun night no matter what! :)

Michelle My Belle, SURPRISE!

I knew a surprise was coming and that it was going to last three days and I was going crazy trying to figure out what it was and worrying about how I needed to prepare for it. I finally came to the conclusion, after Spencer told me he had to pick up one of his co-workers from the airport with a shifty grin, that there was a good chance someone was actually coming to visit ME! So I had been cleaning my house and preparing for a possible guest while also doing laundry and preparing for a possible trip with a need to pack quickly. I kept thinking I knew what it was, and then talked myself out of it so that I wouldn't be disappointed if I was wrong. But I WAS RIGHT...beyond my wildest dreams and the numerous times I talked myself out of it, when I walked in the door today after running some errands, there she was, Michelle Vicari, one of my bestest friends in the world and also one of my bridesmaids, standing in my living room! :)
She opened the door for me...
We hugged...
I laughed (and then cried a few tears of joy too...I haven't seen her in 2 years!)...
Even though deep down I knew it was her that would be my surprise and wanted to be right so badly, I was still surprised! And VERY happy and excited. So we went to Taco Bell for lunch and headed to David's Bridal so we could get her dress for my wedding TOGETHER. (Its been so great that I had my mom with me to buy my dress, I went with Tiffany to get her dress and now I got to go with Michelle to get her dress!)
(This is the dress, but in the wrong color)
We came back home and hung out for a bit and then we all went to our favorite place, Yard House for happy hour...and drank until we were hungry, and then ate until we were stuffed.
Then came home and passed out from exhaustion...well Michelle did...because she's a bit jet lagged...Spence and I just stayed up and watched tv. I can't wait to do some more hanging out tomorrow and Thursday!

Happy New Year from all of us!
