Protection...

Despite the fact that these 3 hate each other and 1 of them hates me, they all ban together to protect me on nights Spencer works late. :)

Loveyoubye

I had a short, sweet, wonderful visit with one of my best friends from Tampa, Michael Rudolph tonight. We met up, had dinner, caught up, hugged, and said goodbye. I love when I hang out with old friends I haven't seen in forever and it feels like no time has gone by and we can just pick up where we left off. Yay! Loveyoubye Mike! :)

Mom's Visit

My mom was here visiting for the past 4 days. She left this morning. We had a nice time together. We saw Cirque du Soleil's Viva Elvis at Aria and the Terry Fator show at The Mirage, we ate yummy food from California Pizza Kitchen, The Yard House and The Cracked Egg as well as a couple of home cooked meals and lots of snacks. We got to watch The Biggest Loser together and we did a lot of shopping and a little bit of penny/nickel slots gambling. And I have a feeling mom will be coming back to visit a few more times this year! ;) Love you Mommy! Thanks for coming!

The Light At The End Of The Tunnel

"In the depths of winter, I finally found there was in me an invincible summer." ~Alfred Camus

Hard times are inevitable...death, financial struggles, family problems, etc. All of these tough time are just seasons. And although some of these not so nice seasons seem to last so much longer than the nicer seasons, as Abraham Lincoln said, "This too shall pass." I am trying my best to take the good from 2010 and look ahead to 2011 with a different attitude. I will try to endure the hardships in life, knowing that they won't last forever and that time will eventually heal my wounds and I will make it through whether it feels like it or not. Each hard thing has taught/will teach me a lesson that I can take with me and use for the next season. And no matter how dim that light at the end of the tunnel is sometimes, it is still a light...each day the light gets closer and closer until I get out of the tunnel, the clouds part, and I feel the sunshine on my face again. I just need to hang on until I get to that point. Keep fighting through the rough seasons. My hope is that each time I do this I will feel stronger and stronger so the rough times don't seem so rough each time I encounter them. And that is my thought for the day.
