Hearts

I am so excited for Valentine's Day.  I love decorating for holidays.  I found this cute do it yourself decoration on pinterest the other day and tried it out today.  I think my little heart garland turned out great!  Its made of felt and little puff balls.  Super easy if anyone wants to try it I can send you the link I got it from.  I made one for the fireplace and one for the kitchen doorway.

Mom's Visit

I always love when my Mom visits us.  Especially now that we have Scarlett.  Its fun to see her be a Grandma and her and I seem to get a long even better than before now.  I love her!

A new 2012, as opposed to the old one.

A new year begun, an old year is done. These are the words that I have typed. Nothing especially profound I suppose, but nevertheless I'm standing by the accuracy of the statement.
Last year brought some great moments to my life specifically, this is about me, it's what I do. In any event, the small bundle of joy that greeted us on a quiet afternoon in August is rapidly growing into a larger, louder bundle of joy right before our very eyes and I couldn't be any prouder as a dad. It was a special moment for me to see her born, and it's been fantastic to watch as she adapts to conscious life. My wife has been an absolute Angel, that's right I did capitalize the A, why? Cause she deserves it. Spending her days helping Scarlett learn and explore the world around her, and be a part of the firsts that come almost every day. She has been so nurturing and supportive that I could hardly ask for anything else, unless it's a weekend off to watch the Rose Bowl in LA. Yup, I put that in here, She very generously volunteered to stay at home and let me have an amazing time at the game capped off of course with a Ducks win. For those of you living under a rock or behind a tree, that's a good thing.

With an amazing start to a new year I'm very excited about the possibilities in front of us. A whole 365 days ahead of us to find new things out about each other and our little girl, (unless the mayans are right in which case that number shrinks a bit) regardless there is no one I'd rather spend my days with than Heather, and I'm truly a lucky guy to be able to have her and Scarlett in my life brightening each and every day. Except Tuesdays, those days usually are a little rough, but with a smile and a wink sometimes things turn out ok.

That's all, I'll write something interesting next time, but don't hold your breath.

Rose Bowl

While Spencer headed to Pasadena to watch the Ducks play the Badgers in the Rose Bowl, Scarlett and I stayed home and watched for him on TV and cheered and quacked with Khara and Tank!  We missed Spencer, but made the best of it and best of all, the Ducks won!  WOOHOO!
